Pyrate Llama Recording Studio

Pyrate Llama Recording Studio is built inside of a funky old barn on a ranch in the Yamhill County wine country just west of McMinnville, Oregon. The Pyrate Llama sound consists of vintage style preamps and microphones recorded through state of the art analog to digital converters. Using emulations our sound setup is 2" tape running through vintage preamps, and vintage consoles. We have the best of both worlds - the analog warmth of vintage gear with the modern fidelity of cutting edge technology. The live room is a 20x30 foot room that was used for drying walnuts, a painting studio, and at one point an old time dance hall. The control room is 20'x20'. Currently we have 2 guitar amp isolation rooms. The sound, liveliness, and reverb of hundred year old wood makes recording music here easy, inspirational, and fun.
