Queen Mary's Hospital
We provide a wide range of health and social care services, specialising in community health, mental health and learning disability services. We provide care for people of all ages and work closely with a variety of partners to ensure that our services are well-integrated and wide-ranging. We have a workforce of around 3,500 people including many highly skilled health and social care professionals. The results of the 2013 National Staff Survey our staff ranked us as the best organisation to work for in the South of England. We have over 125 sites in a variety of locations across the London Boroughs of Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich and into Kent. Our services include a range of physical health services to adults and children in the community in the boroughs of Bexley and Greenwich. These range from health visitors working with the very young to district nurses and therapists meeting the physical health needs of older people. We have been the main provider of specialist mental health care in Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich for more than ten years and have developed a comprehensive portfolio of services in community and hospital settings. We also provide adult learning disability services in Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich as well as specialist forensic mental health care across south east London and in Kent Prisons. At Queen Mary's we provide a range of services including the Urgent Care Centre, mental health inpatient services for adults and older adults, intermediate care, neuro rehabilitation and specialist children's services. We became the owners of the Queen Mary's Hospital on 1 October 2013 and are investing up to £30m over the next five years to bring services and buildings up-to-date, and ensure that people receive good-quality, efficient services in welcoming surroundings.
