Quantum CAD provides electronic and PCB design services to many of the major electronics based companies across Europe in the medical, defence, aerospace, automotive, security, mobile telecommunications, and consumer electronics sectors. Established in 1994 we began providing PCB design services to local companies in South Wales. As our reputation steadily spread, we began serving clients across the UK and now have several customers Europe wide. Our growth has been based on four strengths: Our expertise in all areas of PCB and electronic design, owing to our policy of employing only the most skilled and qualified engineers and ensuring that they keep up to date with the latest technologies and techniques Our emphasis on customer service and project management, so that we fit into our customers' design programmes seamlessly and ensure high quality designs are created within budget and on time with minimum risk Our web-linked design process, enabling fast moving, complex design projects to be carried out at a distance with full client involvement. This service offers design reviews online, instant client access to design data, collaboration on design of critical circuits and reduced time and cost for design reviews Our ability to provide more than just PCB design services - we offer training and consultancy in PCB design software, migration between PCB design packages and component library management among other services We find that many of our customers first come to us either because they have a short-term overload in work for their in-house team or because they are not confident they have the right level of expertise for a particular project. Often they decide to keep using us because they find we can provide better results at a lower cost than investing in more staff and equipment in-house, particularly as ongoing demand for in-house PCB design services can never be assured. We have ISO 9001:2000 accreditation and all our services are governed by this accreditation as well as by IPC standards. Quantum CAD's sister company Quantum EDS Ltd is an accredited supplier of CXInsight Product Development software. Quantum CAD has been awarded the Green Dragon for meeting demanding environmental goals, making the company the first PCB/electronic Design bureau in the UK to meet this recognised environmental standard. The Green Dragon scheme is an initiative aimed at reducing carbon footprint. Quantum received recognition for its efforts to pioneer a greener way of doing business.
