The company is the result of the successful 2002 merger of Quantum Gas Services, Inc. and Quantum Power Services, Inc. Quantum Gas was formed in 2000 with a principal business focus of producer services and downstream nomination and scheduling services for marketers/aggregators primarily involved in Retail/Choice programs in the Northeast, Southeast Ohio Valley and Western regions. Quantum Power was formed in 2001 in response to electricity deregulation principally in Texas and has subsequently extended its reach into 8 other states. Commonality and synergistic client bases of both companies led to the merger and today Quantum utilizes its expertise to serve natural gas and electricity Clients in key deregulated states throughout the country.
