Tourism and Events Queensland

Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) provides tourism research and insights to a variety of stakeholders which can assist decision-making and strategy development. As part of this, TEQ manages the analysis and publication of results for Queensland based on major national tourism surveys: the National Visitor Survey, International Visitor Survey, Survey of Tourist Accommodation and Overseas Arrivals and Departures. Results from other research projects are also collated to ensure a robust cross-section of tourism information. Primary research is also undertaken by TEQ to better understand the needs of Queensland's visitor target markets and the experiences Queensland's destinations can offer to meet those needs. This research includes consumer demand research, segmentation research, destination brand health analysis and analysis of community attitudes to tourism.
