Racional was founded in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1971 as an Engineering and Construction company to operate on the Brazilian market. This marked the beginning of the remarkable story of a company that is not only experienced in delivering major building projects, but also a company which provides a critical analysis of its high-performing projects from the Pre-construction phase to the final walk-through. When it first started, Racional focused its activities mainly on projects for the industrial segment. It then went on to expand its footprint into logistics parks, shopping malls, commercial buildings and mission critical facilities, among other private market segments. Each project was faced as a new challenge with its own particularities, risks and opportunities. Currently, Racional's strong presence in the corporate market and in B2B segments is a true reflection of its business culture based on reliability, transparency and sustainability and focused on close relationships with clients, suppliers and employees. Today, Racional has more than 540 construction projects and over 7 million square meters of built area delivered. The Company has expanded its business to include its own Real Estate Portfolio. The knowledge gained by its staff in the last 40 years, combined with continuing incorporation of new building technologies, have led Racional to achieve value engineering in all phases of its construction projects in eight different market segments, each with its own complexity level. And it has been like this since 1971, when Racional came into existence with its attention focused on meeting each client's needs and expectations, therefore building a story made up of relationships that are as long lasting as its construction projects.
