Radio AURA

This is Radio AURA - the first private radio station in Bulgaria. Broadcast in 1992 and have our own program in 1993. On Radio AURA are played an enthralling mixture of current hits and alternative new flow of various genres. In attempt to represent the diversity of AUBG we present shows in 3 languages - Bulgarian, English and Russian. The team is composed entirely of students of the American University in Bulgaria , but the radio is independent of university media. Broadcast online at www.radio-aura.org. AURA e completely voluntary non-profit organization and the members do not earn absolutely no financial compensation. Students in AURA are proud to work for the idea AURA represents in exchange for valuable experience and professional working atmosphere. Imagine the pulse of the city, beating more than 20 years. Imagine more than 40 enthusiastic young people, sometimes working more than 12 hours a day, turning their voices into something emblematic of students and young people in Blagoevgrad. Unlike ordinary American University in Bulgaria students, they often have to get up at 6am, and when time is short they have no time to sleep or catch up on the radio. They miss the nightlife (or lectures ) because they have to be behind the microphone in the morning. Of course sometimes they just stand behind the microphone after the disco ....
