Radius Industrial Works Inc. was established in 2011. We provide high quality and highly efficient industrial repair and mechanical services to our business and commercial customers. Radius Industrial Works Inc. is owned and managed by Bruce Larsen, who has over 30 years experience working with industrial equipment. Bruce started his working career at age 12 when he worked part-time for Doug Fraser of PM Crane Rentals Ltd. in North Vancouver. Bruce did troubleshooting, repair and servicing of rental equipment such as chain saws, generators and assisting on the cranes. Bruce also learned to weld, paint industrial equipment and service hydraulics at PM Crane Rentals. Bruce later completed a diploma in Electronic Engineering Technology and worked as a contractor for BC Hydro & BC Hydro International, developing custom instrumentation for monitoring systems for hydroelectric generation. Bruce then co-founded Cypress Solutions Inc, which specialized in contract product design, development and manufacturing of custom electronic and mechanical products. Bruce was involved with process development & optimization, Design for Manufacture, 3D CAD design, CNC machining, prototype and production design and manufacturing. As president, Bruce co-negotiated the asset sale of Cypress Solutions Inc. to Sierra Wireless Inc. in 2000 and worked as a Director of Product Development at Sierra Wireless for several years. Following his love for the outdoors, Bruce became a certified Arborist and co-founded Cypress Tree Service with certified Arborist and Artist Elizabeth Topham. Cypress Tree Service had exponential revenue growth for five consecutive years and was highly regarded as one of the North Shores best tree care companies. Bruce developed a maintenance program for the fleet of industrial equipment owned and operated by Cypress Tree Service, such as wood chippers, chip trucks, trailers, mini excavators, skid steer loaders, and other industrial equipment. After selling Cypress Tree Service to Bartlett Tree Experts in late 2008 Bruce completed his Green belt certification in the Toyota Production System and Lean Manufacturing. With a passion for continuous improvement and efficiency, Bruce started Radius Industrial Works Inc. to provide exceptional and reliable industrial services while offering fair and competitive prices to North Shore based businesses and industry.
