Rational Resource is the evolution of Rational Energies. Established in 2007, the company pioneered a commercial pyrolysis process plant to convert waste plastic into crude oil, an expensive commodity at the time. With crude oil prices plummeting to a 30-year low, Rational disconnected from the turbulence of the global oil markets, and adapted our technology and business model. The company re-branded as Rational Resource to take advantage of abundant supply streams of UMO and a stable market for base oils.
