Regina Catholic School Division

We provide a French Immersion program for kindergarten to grade 8 students within a faith-based environment. Our primary academic objective is to have students become functionally fluent in French and English while meeting the Ministry of Education's curricular outcomes in all subject areas. In Regina Catholic Schools, the percentage of instruction in French immersion ranges from 90% in Kindergarten to 70% in Grade 8. Catholic faith formation is a major pillar in our school experience. Students are immersed in a faith environment that supports sacramental development at the students' home parishes while nurturing their faith development within our regular religion and family life programming. Students participate in daily prayers, twice weekly assemblies and seasonal liturgical celebrations throughout the year. We participate in at least 4 masses at Holy Cross Parish and at least two classes each month attend a weekday morning mass with Holy Cross parishioners. Family and friends are invited to join us for any and all liturgical celebrations. We also offer a full complement of extra-curricular activities which include football, track, volleyball, choir, cross-country, basketball, French Improv, musical and Club du Souvenir as well as various clubs within the school. There is also a band program for grades 6 to 8 students. Ma Première École is our preschool that operates in École St. Andrew and serves children ages 3 and 4. Contact the office at École St. Andrew at 306-791-7300 for further information. Our CSCC is very active in supporting learning at École St. Andrew. The CSCC supports learning by funding additional resources to classroom teachers, our Mathletics program, additional library resources, technology enhancements and enhanced learning experiences through additional fieldtrips or guest presenters. The CSCC also works to build community through activities such as parent information nights, family dances and family barbecues. The CSCC also sponsors a Before and After School Program run by the Boothill Community Association for students in grades 1 to 6 at our school.
