R&D Batteries, a multi-million dollar corporation, is a battery assembler and distributor representing some of the world's premier manufacturers. We focus primarily on the engineering, testing, manufacturing and distribution of replacement batteries used in medical equipment. To facilitate this, we have established and maintain factory direct relationships with cell manufacturers that are key to the medical industry. Our vendors include Sanyo, Panasonic, Powersonic, Yuasa, FDK, Enersys, Sonnenschein, Varta, Saft, Energizer, and Renata. Our sales volume allows us to provide our customers with a purchasing avenue that is linked directly to these premium cell manufacturers worldwide. R&D Batteries, Inc. was established February 6, 1989 with the goal of becoming the medical industry's most complete battery source. The officers and key operating personnel each average over 30 years experience in the replacement battery industry. Many others have worked exclusively with medical replacement batteries for over 20 years. Our background, knowledge and experience together offer the right ingredients to allow us to serve our customers with unparalleled commitment and quality. Providing the healthcare industry with only the finest replacement batteries is our primary focus. The R&D inventory is specifically designed to accommodate the needs of hospitals, medical centers, biomedical service companies and clinical engineering service professionals. To enable us to offer problem solving solutions we actively solicit ideas from field technicians and managers. Our products are unique in that many were born at their point of application. From the beginning, our goal has been to provide products with practical, efficient and cost effective innovations. We are able to implement new products and product modifications in a fraction of the time required by others. At R&D we take the steps to provide for the services and tools that we know are important to Biomedical Engineers. Our knowledgeable customer service representatives are always on hand to help with any requirements that you may have. Members of our Technical Support team are available during business hours and will be able to answer questions at the time of your call. Through contract agreements, business partners and distributors, our products are sold in the vast North American market and throughout the world. We manufacture products in our own modern Production Department using state of the art equipment and techniques. Nearly all of our assemblies are produced, tested and QC certified right here at our facility in Burnsville, Minnesota. Every battery is given a final inspection prior to packaging the product for shipment. On January 1, 2003, R&D Batteries became a Value Added Center (VAC) for EnerSys. The VAC agreement with EnerSys provided us with additional resources, tools and support to achieve our goals, and to serve our customers more efficiently.
