Red Girasol Crowdfunding platform for residential and commercial solar systems in Mexico. It connects people who wish to acquire a panel system with investors willing to contribute money until they complete the amount they need to pay for it in exchange for immediate returns. For their part, residents get the benefit of paying month to month at interest rates lower than those offered by other companies in the market. The company, through an algorithm, first analyzes the light receipt that the user shares and, based on this, presents a quotation plan with different installers in agreement with Girasol. By choosing the one that best suits your needs, the resident must provide at least 10% of the total price. Then start the funding campaign and once the goal is completed, the installation happens. From there, the company charges the user's credit card the payment of the monthly payment to investors, whose interest and yield are assigned to both depending on the hitch and term selected in the case of the first and the amount contributed in the case of the second. Girasol obtains profits by charging commissions to the three actors in its network (residents, investors and suppliers). The company started its operation in 2016 in Monterrey, Nuevo León.
