We believe it should be as easy to create a fintech app on Rehive, as it is to set up an e-commerce store on Shopify. It is expensive, complex and time-consuming to build financial infrastructure from scratch. Rehive's founders launched a consumer bitcoin wallet for consumers in 2015 and learned first hand the struggles of starting a fintech business in South Africa. They pivoted their business model and founded Rehive in 2016 with the goal of making it easy for other businesses to get started without reinventing the wheel. Due to regulatory differences between countries around the world, financial products don't reach everyone at the scale we've seen with apps like Facebook or Whatsapp. All the while, more assets are being digitized, and more people are being connected to the internet. We believe the world needs better tools to make it easy to innovate in finance. Our products are used by payment service providers, retailers, fintechs and banks.
