Rébec operates in five major forestry areas: Forestry operational planning in three regions of Quebec; Management of ligneous matter harvest commissions (softwood and hardwood); Forest road construction and maintenance Management of the lumber supply assurance with relevant government bodies; Management and supply of six forestry camps; Forest Mechanized forest development workdevelopment The company in numbers Rébec conducts activities in immense public forest areas with yearly statistics that are mindboggling: Construction of nearly 800 kilometres of forest roads; Maintenance of over 1,000 km of forest roads; Harvest and transportation of some 3 million cubic metres of lumber; Distribution and management of 20 million litres of fuel; Preparation of over between 140150,000 and 200,000 meals; Housing for over 450 labourers. 1- Rébec in the Mauricie Region Rébec manages forestry camps in the Mauricie region,, where the company harvests softwood and hardwood from mixed forests to supply the region's plants. Moreover, Rébec manages two forestry camps, Oriskany and Kawaie, where up to 225 forestry workers can be housed.
