T.A.C. Ceramic Tile Co., owned by Tom Callaway, has been in operation since 1984. We specialize in new home construction and light commercial construction. We work directly with national, regional, and local builders. We welcome retail clients at our design center, but require them to call ahead for an appointment. Additionally, so that we may meet their needs properly, builder clients will need to call for an appointment with one of our designers. First and foremost we follow a business philosophy that embraces quality to a degree that is rarely found in any business or industry. We believe in providing quality work by using skilled contractors and trained "in house", hourly or salaried employees. We train and promote from within, which gives us a greater level of control over quality and employee accountability. We devote the time and resources necessary for training, from proper step-by-step installation techniques to jobsite safety. Further, we specify and use only premium grade underlayment's, backerboards and superior setting adhesives along with the proper tools for application. By combining well-trained contractors and company employees with the correct materials and methodologies, we achieve a consistent level of quality in every job we do. We currently have over two hundred twenty (220) fulltime "in house" employees and operate ninety (90) two man installation crews plus support staff, consisting of: 12 Underlayment crews 2 Customer service manager 10 Customer service technicians In house marble fabrication shop 24 Field supervisors 4 Field Operations managers 18 Warehouse employees Design Center staff Office support staff Our corporate main office is a 96,000 square foot warehouse and showroom facility located in Manassas, Virginia. Our secondary office is a Design Center and warehouse in Elkridge, MD. These locations when combined, service over 300 separate jobs sites. We currently work for over seventy (70) builders in Northern Virginia and Maryland. We install and guarantee over 15,000,000 square feet of Tile, Marble, Hardwood, Carpet and Vinyl. We hold a Virginia Class "A" contractor's license, a Maryland business license and a West Virginia contractor's license. We are fully insured and bonded. Our commitment to quality and customer service has allowed us to achieve and maintain NHQ Certification and Home Innovation Quality Certified since February, 2006.
