Reyco Textiles

The business group now known as Reyco S.A. began operations more than seventy years ago, when in 1940 an industrial process for making fine hats, high-demand items at the time was put in progress. Subsequently, in 1942 it established a new venture for the manufacturing of knitted fabrics. This entrepreneurial effort continued and in 1954 comes a new activity devoted exclusively to the manufacturing of clothes which operates under the name Lolita Apparel. In 1960 the company dedicated to the manufacturing of fabrics, joins the garment branch and in 1971 the company becomes vertically integrated, deciding at the time to proceed to integrate three scattered entrepreneurial efforts into one. It then carries out the project to install a single corporate group plan and the company "Roberto Escalante y Compañía" is born. With the elapse of some years it is rename to Reyco Textiles, keeping the initial letters in Spanish of one of its founders. During the following years and until today, the company has developed and changed some of its product lines with the goal of moving forward and growing in a highly competitive market. The line of hats went out of production in the late 70's and then the company took a direction towards the production of clothing lines. Today, Reyco S.A. has specialized in the manufacturing of a line that has been one of its first productions since the mid-40's: a large and assorted collection of T-shirts and underwear garments for babies, toddlers, children, youth and adults. There are two brands that our group offers to the Costa Rican market: Zoo, exclusive line of pajamas, and Reyco, exclusive of the entire line of T-shirts and underwear.
