Riverside Contracting, Inc. is one of the largest highway construction companies in the state of Montana. Riverside Contracting, Inc. was incorporated in Montana in 1981 by Marvin Rehbein and continues to this day to be primarily owned by Marvin and his immediate family. Riverside's primary focus has been on State and Federally-funded construction contracts, both urban and rural, with an emphasis on excavation, aggregate crushing, asphalt paving and chip & seal work. Riverside specializes in complete road reconstructions and has the workforce and equipment to perform the project excavation and embankment, surveying, grading, gravel, culverts/storm drains, MSE walls, asphalt plant mix production/laydown and chip & seal. Riverside also has experience on projects involving structural concrete, such as bridges, structural foundations, retaining walls and concrete paving. Riverside has a mobile crushing plant and crew to produce materials on-site, in remote locations. The majority of Riverside's work history has been with the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT), but there have also been many projects with the Federal Highway Administration (FHA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) over the years. Recently, Riverside has also been increasing it's presence in Wyoming, performing highway construction projects for the Wyoming Department of Transportation beginning in 2009. In 2008, Riverside expanded operations to include work in Alberta, Canada. The 2012 construction season begins Riverside's fourth year in Alberta, Canada.
