Roadways

Roadways Pty Ltd is a Tasmanian company that commenced operations in Hobart in 1969 and on the North West Coast of the State in 1971. The company installed its first asphalt plant in Hobart in 1973. In 1976 an asphalt plant was established in Burnie. In 1979 the Hobart plant was replaced with a modern automatic batch plant. The Burnie plant was upgraded, in stages, commencing in early 1984. The upgrading included installation of computer controlled batching operations, hot storage facilities and a weighbridge.
