Rocky Run Fire
Rocky Run Fire Company, chartered September 11, 2013, provides fire service to Middletown Township (Delaware County) and surrounding communities. Our main station is located at 1174 Baltimore Pike, just south of the Granite Run Mall. Our primary district covers about 6 sq. miles of the 13.5 square miles of Middletown Township, the 3rd largest municipality in Delaware County, PA. with an ISO Class 5 rating. Together with Middletown Fire Company we provide full time, 100% volunteer coverage. Saving the residents thousands of dollars every year. In addition to primary coverage in Middletown, our Tower, known as "Truck 46" has primary response areas in Edgmont Township, Concord Township and Thornbury Township Delaware County. We provide mutual aide assistance on a regular basis to the Townships of Aston, Upper Providence, Upper Chichester, and Chadds Ford. Rocky Run Fire Company responds to approximately 600 calls for service every year. We respond not only to fires, but also auto accidents, hazardous materials incidents, homeland security incidents, EMS assists, and public assists. In addition to all the training involved, the members spend countless hours providing fire prevention education, community activities and fund raising; as a registered 501.c.3 non-profit organization, all charitable contributions are tax deductible. Our members are 100% volunteer. We are men and women of all ages, races and backgrounds who are residents of many different towns, counties and states. Our membership includes lawyers, school teachers, students, 911 dispatchers, business-persons and retired people. There are many opportunities to help serve, including many NON-firefighting roles.
