Rose Hills
Rose Hills Memorial Park was founded in 1914 as Whittier Heights Memorial Park. Rose Hills Memorial Park is the largest memorial park in North America, spanning more than 1,400 acres. Rose Hills Memorial Park has more than 240 lawns and 29 miles of road. The Mortuary at Rose Hills opened in 1956. Today, it serves more families annually than any other funeral home in the world. Our longest-tenured, current employee began working at Rose Hills in 1961. We asked him what has kept him at Rose Hills for so long and he said, "In my many years of work I have never heard anything other than we were the crown jewel of the mortuary and cemetery professions. I truly work for the best location in existence." Rose Hills employees are actively involved in contributing to our local communities through food, clothing and blood drives throughout the year. Additionally, Rose Hills Company contributes generously to local organizations through SkyRose Chapel Foundation. To learn more about how Rose Hills is active in the community, click here. Rose Hills has its very own café, Rosie's, which offers breakfast, lunch and snacks to all employees at reasonable cost. In addition, there is complementary coffee available to all employees. Rose Hills' beauty and size make it attractive to many members of the community-not just those looking for a place to hold a memorial service or purchase memorial property. Rose Hills is a popular venue for motion picture location scouts. All location fees that Rose Hills collects are donated to children's charities through SkyRose Chapel Foundation.
