Red River Valley Rural Electric Association

Red River Valley REA (Rural Electric Association) is a co-operative in the business of distributing electricity to homes and commercial entities. Â Our owners are the 15,000 members who purchase electric power and related products and services from us. As a co-operative, we operate on a not-for-profit basis. Â But it the co-op finds it has collected more than it needs to run itself, members share the profits (patronage capital). Â In 2011, for example, the co-op credited back members' patronage capital accounts more than a nickle of every dollar collected.
