RT Systems, Inc. was founded in 1989 by a group of material handling and inventory control system professionals with a vision to create an inexpensive PC based warehouse management system applicable to a wide range of customers and industries and available at an affordable cost. The resulting WMS product was named RT Locator ("Real Time" Locator) or RTL.
