Rugby School
One of the oldest independent schools in Britain, Rugby School is a co-educational day and boarding school in Rugby, Warwickshire, England. Following the success of welcoming Takapuna Grammar School (NZ) for cricket, Lindisfarne will host students from Rugby School later this month. The 30 female students, who will verse our own in games of netball and hockey, will be billeted by Lindisfarne families during their visit. Students look forward to the netball competition on Wednesday, 25 July, held during school hours at Mahers Lane, as well as to the hockey competition on Thursday, 26 July in Murwillumbah. As Lindisfarne continues to develop its unique sense of community, we would love for students to attend the on-campus games not only in sheer spectatorship, but in support of our spirited athletes. The opportunity imparts an awareness of education as a multifaceted, dynamic experience; one that extends past the academic arenas and onto the sporting fields. Lindisfarne continues to foster student involvement and achievement, and this culturally-immersive visit promises to be an invaluable one.
