Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust with over 25 institutions, in which some 15,000 students are studying, is a fast growing organization. The Students who have passed out of these institutions in the last seven decades have excelled in life, bringing laurels and glory. Eminent academicians, scholars, leaders, industrialists and others have showered accolades on its achievements and accomplishments. But all this was probably not imagined in the pre-independent India, in 1940 when the country was fighting for its freedom from the British regime. Here was a man who perceived political freedom as also that from ignorance and the first institution of the Trust - a primary school was founded by him. Swami Sivananda Sarma was a farsighted visionary. He set out to start this moment on a small piece of a land in the erstwhile of the state of Mysore. Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi as it was then called was registered as a Society in 1940, under the Mysore Societies Regulation Act No III, 1904 and V of 1939 of the erstwhile state of Mysore. It was in the year 1964 that Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust was formed to carry forward these objectives.
