At Raffles World Academy (RWA), we take our responsibility for the education, care and welfare of each child very seriously as we help to establish the cornerstones that support the growth of life-long learners and ultimately positive and productive contributors to the communities in which they will live. As soon as you walk onto the campus at RWA, one has a very strong sense that this is very much a multi-cultural, internationally-minded community . Established in 2008 with a diverse cultural base of students and teachers representing over 100 countries it is an exciting and stimulating environment of which to be a part. As an authorised World School for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), along with offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) ,the Cambridge Secondary 1(CS1) and the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), the academic programme is designed to offer the young people who attend Raffles the opportunity to establish a very sound base for future studies after they finish school, as well as a solid platform for life beyond the school's boundaries. We aim to ensure your child's experiences as a Raffles student are based on teaching techniques that are both theoretically sound, yet practical, to the extent where the learning experience is both stimulating and enjoyable. Our ultimate goal is to assist the development of enquiring, thoughtful and considerate young minds - to make learning stimulating, challenging, meaningful and enjoyable. We seek to ignite the fire for learning and harness the potential in order that our young people have a thoroughly well-rounded learning experience, in its broadest terms. Communication between the home and the school is seen as an essential element. We encourage open and honest dialogue between parents and staff in order to ensure every child meets his/her potential and is successful. We believe that the quality of a school is determined by the quality of its staff. Our teachers will engage and guide students in their learning. Our teachers are experienced, well-qualified educators and come from widely diverse backgrounds. We sincerely hope that our young people will develop sound character, have a strong sense of community and be willing to consider the needs of others.
