Salem Baptist Church
Salem Baptist Church of Chicago is the largest African American church in Illinois with more than 15,000 members. Under the leadership of Pastor James T. Meeks, Salem has been recognized by Outreach magazine as one of the fastest growing megachurches in the country. Since its founding in 1985 with 193 members, Salem is known as a "Church Without Walls" throughout the community and around the world because of Pastor Meeks' mission to lead members to serve in areas of greatest need. Backed by the love of God and his people, Salem is a place for those seeking hope, inspiration and restoration. God is doing a wonderful work in and through the people of Salem Baptist Church of Chicago, and we are excited to be a part of His Kingdom work.
