SAM 27 promotes the the skills and enjoyment of building and flying antique model airplanes. The club arranges mentors to assist and guide, if required, in four areas: Building and construction Covering and finishing Trimming and flying Competitive flying SAM 27 is a Chapter of the Society of Antique Modelers (SAM). It is a specialized club which builds and flies pre 1943 model airplanes, built from balsa. The goal is to preserve the skills and enjoyment of construction and craftsmanship, and ensure crash-free flying.
