The Bright Light: The Idea of SampleOn started from Salient Brands, a company that launches new products, mainly wine & spirits. At Salient Brands we wanted to figure out a way on how to avoid the "Marketing Noise" (it's ok, Google it) and still engage our audience. We were confident in our products so sampling was the answer, and it always worked for us. Utilizing online and traditional media to market our sample promotions wasn't enough as our message was not being heard in the media noise. We knew other businesses faced similar challenges. So after a few days of thinking and covering all wobbly ends on how to create the best digital campaign, on that cold September night in 2010, the spark to create SampleOn ignited. Shhhhhh, what started with a small idea needs to stay a secret, OK people! Do you really want to tell anyone about SampleOn besides your friends, family and neighbors? We didn't think so either.
