Santa & Cole was founded in Barcelona, Spain in1985 by Javier Nieto Santa and Gabriel Ordeig Cole to market a carefully collected body of products intended to better the quality of urban space. Its focus is the Person, the City and the Planet. Santa & Cole outdoor Urban Elements are designed to create more humane and social spaces that help people experience the richness of urban life and contribute to the health of the environment. Born in the city that was home to Antoni Gaudi and Pablo Picasso, the company carries on a noble tradition of creative inquiry and aesthetic expression. Recipient of Spain's National Design Award, it has been a prominent participant in the renewal of the Barcelona streetscape and the city's emergence as an international design hub.
