SATSOL www.satsol.tv was first established in 2010 as a Digital Pay TV Company and expanded to become an Internet Service Provider in 2013. As a locally owned company, SATSOL understands the importance of staying connected with the rest of the world and strives to provide quality and affordable Internet and TV that is consistent with international standards. As one of Solomon Islands three Internet Service Providers, SATSOL currently provides approximately 20% of the country's internet bandwidth. The company owns and operates the highest teleport in Guadalcanal, overlooking the capital city of Honiara, and has built the largest wireless ISP (WISP) network in the country. SATSOL also provides other Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Services including provincial/remote satellite internet connections, IP-telephony, digital security systems, networking support, cloud services, data warehousing, vessel monitoring systems, Wi-Fi hotspots, and tailored corporate communication. Through its experienced technical and network support team which consists mainly of Solomon Islanders, SATSOL strives to achieve its Vision: "To be the highest quality Internet & TV Service Provider in the Solomon Islands". The company has received multiple awards from the Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce & Industry including Winner of the Excellence in Emerging Business (2013, 2014), and runner-up for Excellence in Service Delivery (2015). SATSOL is currently making a significant investment in infrastructure to ensure its network and services will be "fiber ready" when the fiber optic cable arrives in the Solomon Islands at the end of 2019.
