Nashoba Regional School District
NASHOBA Regional School District is committed to strengthening teaching and learning for all English language learners as we believe that all students can learn to high standards. We embrace Rethinking Equity and Teaching for English Language Learners (RETELL) as it is a Massachusetts Department of Education initiative to improve and support the academic achievement of English language learners in our Commonwealth. RETELL brings a systemic approach that combines professional development for Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) teachers designed to enable them to make rigorous content accessible to their English learners. Moreover, new curriculum standards and assessment for our students whose native language is not English will be the foundation for RETELL. Our teachers and administrators are committed to ensuring the greatest opportunity for access to our curriculum to ensure that your student is able to reach his or her potential as a learner and to be prepared for the career or college decisions that they will make. If you have any questions as to how to learn more about gaining access to services for a child in need please contact Michael Wood, Superintendent of Schools at [email protected] or 978-779-0539 ext 3002.
