SCA offers Christian education for K2 through 12th grade. What is the dress code? Students in grades K5-12th wear uniforms and our K3- K4 classes wear appropriate school and play attire. Visit our uniform partner page, Risse Brothers here. What are the class sizes? The average class size in elementary classes is 18. The average class size in secondary is 26 students. How is SCA utilizing cutting edge technology? SCA is in leading the way with mobile device integration. Please click hereto explore our technology initiative. What textbooks are being used? The best available Christian and secular textbooks are used. Many of our secondary textbooks are used in a digital format on student iPads. Supplementary computer software and hands-on learning reinforce textbook objectives. What kind of academic program is offered? The academic program is of high quality and will prepare students for collegiate study in a digital society. In addition, the school recognizes its role in preparing students for entering a variety of post high school careers. Standardized test results verify a high level of learning is occurring. Is there a school-sponsored lunch program? Yes. Hot lunch items are available as a meal, or students may also purchase a baked potato with a side salad, a large salad, or sandwich. Is there financial aid available? Yes. The school does accept the Corporate Tax Credit Scholarship and Step Up for Students. We do not accept the Mckay Scholarship. The school offers student government, High School National Honor Society, Middle School Junior Beta Club, yearbook, drama, choir and band as part of our extra-curricular activities. Participation in fine arts festivals, science fairs, spelling bees, math olympics, and music competitions is integrated into the student activities calendar. Additionally, the elementary program also provides math, science, and reading enrichment nights for families to participate in together. What accreditation does the school hold? SCA is fully accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (AdvancEd). What is the religious foundation of the school? As a Christian school, both the methods of instruction and the entire educational program are dependent upon and related to principles found in Word of God. Spiritual values are fostered through Biblical worldview integration, daily Bible classes, holding prayer in high regard, and weekly chapel services. SCA is a ministry of First Free Will Baptist Church. Seffner Christian Academy is deeply invested in seeing each child accept God's free gift of salvation and becoming a mature follower of Jesus Christ. Does the school encourage parent involvement? Yes. Parental involvement is encouraged in a variety of activities, including field trips, festivals, chapel, school banquets and fundraising opportunities. The best way to get involved is through our parent volunteer group, Servants in Action (SIA).
