Schmittenberg
The Schmittenberg company was founded in 1932 by Erich-Otto and Hildegard Schmittenberg. Deep-drawn parts, in particular sleeves, drive-in and weld nuts were produced early on for the automotive industry. The first VW Beetles contained parts from Schmittenberg. CEO and Partner Dipl. Betriebswirtin (Business Graduate) Yvonne Schmittenberg has been running the company in the third generation since 1993. In 1994, the Szczecin factory was founded as a Polish subsidiary. Continuous growth demanded increased production capacity. For this reason, a new factory was built in 2001, where series production began in 2002. Every year, approximately 160 million parts, most of them safety parts for installation in motor vehicles, leave our two factories. IT data traffic with our customers is based on EDI in accordance with VDA, including everything from orders to payments. Today, Schmittenberg is a future-oriented, high-performance, highly specialized, ISO/TS 16949:2009-certified company in the field of metal forming that supplies large-series production volumes to customers in automotive production, the household appliance industry and other branches worldwide.
