SEE Change Institute is based on the idea that combining social science with innovative design can leverage the power of individuals and communities towards solving our most pressing social and environmental problems. We bring together leading academics and practitioners to work on program strategy, implementation, research, and evaluation related to: Storytelling for social good Engagement in civic and pro-social behavior Energy use and climate change Change management Our team brings an unparalleled combination of academic and professional experience, industry relationships, and subject matter expertise. We take a trans-disciplinary, mixed methods approach to understanding the role of programs to both evaluate and improve them. We have expertise in methods ranging from meta-analysis and content analysis to surveys, interviews, and focus groups to experimental (RCT) and quasi-experimental research. Our approach aims to integrate analytical and synthetic analyses to determine what is known about intervention strategies and design and test only the most promising ones to ensure maximal program as well as learning outcomes so best practices can scale across the organization. While there are many evaluators and consultants working to determine whether a given program or intervention works, few delve deeply into the more nuanced questions of how they work best, which is required for optimization and continued growth.
