The company was formed with the goal of making stampings for aircraft exhaust manifolds using two drop hammers they had acquired. In 1995 SSP was acquired by Senior PLC and renamed senior aerospace SSP. Today, Senior SSP is focused on designing and manufacturing aerospace components and systems for the commercial and military markets.
