Founded in 2002 by two North Carolina natives Todd Bottoms, MA and Michael Thorpe, Sentry Drafting and Design, Inc has become the premier leader in residential design in eastern North Carolina. Sentry Drafting & Design, Inc. has grown from 5-6 builders to supporting over 30 builders and working with customer's in several states. Utilizing the internet and technology Sentry Drafting & Design, inc. now supports long distance clients as far away as Wisconsin and works with individual customers in almost every state. Whether you call, email, or stop by they can take your ideas, clippings, pictures and just your thoughts and create you dream home. They can then email a .pdf (Adobe Acrobat), express mail, or simply print your plan for review. Sentry Drafting & Design, inc. prides itself on its ability to interlace the highest technologies and old fashion building knowledge to create sound designs with the newest fashions and technologies. Todd and Mike represent 35 years of construction experience. They both began working on construction sites, framing, painting, roofing, building and repairing homes. They have an excellent understanding of the structure and building science of a home. They also understand the importance of "builder friendly" homes and economical design. They have individually worked with large custom builders and extremely large production builders. They have developed skills with both types of companies that are invaluable to you today. Todd received a master's degree from Appalachian State University and began his professional career teaching computer aided drafting and design at Appalachian, while Mike received an associate's degree at Cape Fear Community College and began his professional career with a local design firm. Both built their careers and knowledge into the company Sentry Drafting & Design, inc. Whether it is designing one single residence or an entire sub-division they are able to coordinate street appeal, ambiance, architectural beauty, structure, value engineering and builder friendly designs, all while maximizing your view of the ocean, river, saw grass marsh or golf course.
