Established in Peterborough in 1989 by founders Mike Sharman and Steve Quinney, Sharman Quinney now has 17 estate agency branches across Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire. In 2003, 75 per cent of Sharman Quinney was acquired by the Connells Group. Mike Sharman and Steve Quinney retain a 20 per cent share in the company, remain as operational directors and sit on the Sharman Quinney Board of Directors.
