Shaver Millwork
Shaver Millwork is a third-generation family business founded in 1980 by Robert Shaver and his oldest son, Bob. Robert brought to the endeavor 40 years of woodworking experience. After serving in the Navy during World War II, he went to work for a large millwork company in Peoria, IL. Although Robert became a top executive in charge of purchasing, he decided to leave the company and move to Florida in 1979. Bob joined his father in Florida and soon after they opened Shaver Millwork. Today, Robert is happily retired, Bob is semi-retired, and the company is run by three of Bob's sons: Mark, Clayton and Jason Shaver. Mark manages the administrative side of the company, as well as Shaver's painting/finishing department. Clayton is in charge of the shop itself while sales, estimating and project management are handled by Jason Shaver. Shaver Millwork works primarily with Architects and General Contractors building in Florida and the Bahamas. To support its manufacturing capabilities, Shaver has a CAD department and a paint shop within its facility. With its vast experience and full-service approach, Shaver is able to provide millwork for the interior and exterior of entire homes, streamlining the process for all involved.
