SHINOZAKIYA INC., headquartered in Saitama, Japan, is principally engaged in the manufacture and sale of soybean-processed products. The Company operates in three main business segments. The Retail segment operates retail stores and franchised stores. As of September 30, 2007, SHINOZAKIYA had 138 stores. The Restaurant segment is engaged in the operation of beancurd and soymilk skin specialty restaurants under the names Sandaime Shigezo, among others. As of September 30, 2007, the Company had 53 restaurants. The Wholesale segment is engaged in the wholesale of soybean-related products, Chinese food, industrial ingredients, rehydratable noodles to general merchandising stores, restaurants and others.
