Sinclair Realty was founded in 1989 by Margaret Welsh Sinclair, who brought 30 years of experience as a developer and restorer of fine Bermuda residential properties to the business of selling the Island's most prestigious homes and estates. Her personal approach and commitment to the luxury market sector together with a deep love for Bermuda gained Sinclair Realty its initial reputation for excellence and impressive sales results. Today, Sinclair Realty Limited is headed by her son John Sinclair. We remain a privately owned 'boutique agency' that is firmly committed to the sale, purchase and rental of Bermuda's premium properties -- including houses, estates, condominiums and developable land. We are focused on the process of preparing the property for presentation and sale - in Bermuda and to the much wider international audience. The importance and value of this approach was underscored when Christie's, the world-renowned auction house, entered international real estate in 1995 and subsequently appointed Sinclair Realty as the exclusive Bermuda affiliate of it real estate arm -- Christie's Great Estates. In 1999, for many of the same reasons, the Government of the United States of America selected Sinclair Realty to serve as the sole agent to represent the $15 million sale of "Chelston", the 14-acre beachfront estate that has been the American Consul General's home in Bermuda since 1962. "Chelston" is widely considered the Island's most important parcel of residential real estate. The principles that yield record-breaking prices at auction for fine art and antiques are also the most effective for the sale of the world's most select properties.
