Six Shooter Records

Founded in 2000, Six Shooter Records is an independent record label boasting an eclectic mix of musicians, songwriters and unique artistic souls who defy easy classification. In addition to Six Shooter's newest signing, Sam Outlaw, the roster includes Whitehorse, 2014 Polaris Music Prize winner Tanya Tagaq, Juno Award winners Amelia Curran and The Strumbellas, multiple Juno nominees NQ Arbuckle, Americana Emerging Artist nominees the Deep Dark Woods and more. Six Shooter Records is also the Canadian label home to Shakey Graves and Mary Gauthier. Six Shooter Records works hard to foster artistic development and a strong sense of community, and we're driven by the belief that "Life Is Too Short To Listen To Shitty Music." The Interstellar Rodeo is an intimate music festival produced by Six Shooter Records, which launched in Edmonton, Alberta in 2012. The Edmonton-based festival sold out in 2013, only its second year. Past performers include Alabama Shakes, Steve Earle, Gord Downie + The Sadies, Andrew Bird, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Jason Isbell, Gillian Welch, Randy Newman, Blue Rodeo, M. Ward, Kurt Vile, and many others. With its stellar line-ups, unique wine pairings and gourmet food trucks, Interstellar Rodeo has quickly become a main summer staple of entertainment in Edmonton. Coming in 2015, Interstellar Rodeo expands to include a festival in Winnipeg, where it will be held in the Forks, a cultural and historic hotbed.
