Skye Instruments develops, produces and markets high quality, precision instrumentation for environmental, botanical and laboratory use. Skye are an environmentally aware Company and strive to ensure our business activities have the minimum possible adverse impact on the environment. We are proud of the fact that many of our products will be used to improve the natural environment around the world by increasing the understanding of natural events and minimising damage caused by human activities. The Company aims to create and maintain a working environment that is safe for its employees, the local community and the global climate. All applicable environmental guidelines and requirements are complied with. Skye employ the best environmental management practices where appropriate. Manufacturing waste is minimised and any waste materials are recycled or re-used wherever possible. Recycled goods are used where practical to minimise the use of new materials. All Company literature is printed on environmentally friendly paper. The use of electronic document copies is encouraged. As a Company, Skye supports Green initiatives and organisations. We have signed the Fair Trade Pledge to only provide hot beverages bearing the Fair Trade logo. Gift aid and charity donations are used as an alternative to seasonal gifts and cards. Employees are encouraged to be aware of their own environmental impact at work. The factory is a designated no smoking building.
