Slash
About SLASH not using any music on stage...SLASH writes his own music and is very familiar with it. He can substitute here and there if he wants to. These musicians memorize the chord progressions, and they know from that which notes can be played over top of the chords. About the orchestras, they play what was written by the composer. They do not improvise. All have to begin and end at the same point playing the same notes. The orchestra part in "November Rain" is very complex, so they must follow the score carefully. These four musicians indicated that Todd should learn about these things before he goes for the cheap laugh. We learned a lot from your descriptions. Thanks to you all. SLASH talked to our answering machine today. He said he's fine but Perla has a cold. He's doing a lot of playing around with ideas for the new album, but he didn't have anything specific to say on that yet. He sounded just fine, and he asked if there was something he could do for the fans here. We want to send him a bunch of questions that you have submitted, so we'll try to get that arranged. Send in any that you have right now.
