SlideRoom is committed to providing a great experience for all users, including applicants with visual or physical impairments. The video above discusses our philosophy and shows some specific examples for how we made the system fully accessible. All applicant portals have a link to SlideRoom's Official Accessibility Statement which documents technical details and provides some practical tips for interaction. For a more detailed account of the system, here is our VPAT Form. Rather than making an alternative (simplified) version of the system, we were really committed to having one great system with equal access for everyone. Some developers may fear having to make compromises, but we found that it is possible to maintain beautiful design, rich functionality, and still be accessible. In the future, we plan to post examples of our development patterns to help other programmers more easily create rich and accessible sites.
