Smartech was founded in 2001 by a group of young mathematicians and software developers. Initially the company was focused on providing custom software development services to banks and scientific laboratories. In 2003 Smartech expanded its reach and started providing software development and QA services to foreign markets, predominantly US. Smartech is situated in Tula, Central Russia, 100 miles from Moscow.
