SoftCP takes a unique approach to IP enabled SCP products. We build traditional and next generation intelligent networking services that not only eliminate legacy transmission links by using IP based protocols such as SUA, but also in the way the services themselves are sold to the service provider. Traditionally SCP offerings have provided the service provider with a platform that allows for tailored creation of unique intelligent networking services. The reality is that the service provider pays for the platform, pays for a handful of vendor created services, and then must pay the vendor for consulting services once a unique service is desired. Using IP based protocols allows intelligent networking applications to run on generic hardware; therefore, the model for service delivery can be changed. SoftCP provides specific purpose applications that run on generic purpose hardware and take advantage of third party software applications such as MySQL. Since the software providing the networking infrastructure is highly reusable, the service provider's total cost of ownership can be drastically reduced. SoftCP has existing application software for least cost routing, number portability (MySQL enabled), calling name collection and other unique service offerings. Carrier specific applications can also be created rapidly and with little to no infrastructure cost.
