The Swedish Ship Götheborg
The Swedish East India Company, one of Sweden's most successful brands in history, was founded in Gothenburg in the year of 1731. The Company traded with China until it ceased in 1813. In 1993 the Swedish East India Company was re-established in order to revive, manage, operate, and develop the art of Swedish shipbuilding and seamanship. A replica of the East-India man Götheborg was built and completed in 2005 and then sailed to China and back in 2005-2007. The Company is now once again starting up trade with Asia.
