We are dedicated to formulating the most agronomically complete and biologically active products available. OUR MISSION STATEMENT - EarthWorks was founded on the basic principles of the ecological systems approach to soil and plant management. Our mission is to promote those principles through our educational programs and support the approach by consulting, soil testing and providing our own bio-diverse products through nationwide distribution. SOIL FIRST CONSULTING, is the consulting division of EarthWorks, established in 1992 and performs over 12,000 soil and other tests for golf course and sports turf clients both domestically and internationally. Along with our business partner, Logan Labs, we evaluate standard soil tests, water soluble paste extracts, water tests, tissue tests and physical profile tests. A complete evaluation report is available and reviewed by one or more of our agronomic consultants to help provide our clients with the tools needed to balance soils and provide a better soil environment for beneficial micro-organisms. We follow the philosophies of Dr. William Albrecht and use the concepts of both base saturation and sufficiency levels of nutrients to help our clients produce the highest quality turf environments possible. This has proven to allow for the reduction of fertilizer applications as well as plant stress problems that leads to pest issues. ...to balance soils and provide a better soil environment for beneficial micro-organisms. WHERE DID WE COME FROM? EarthWorks Natural Organic Products was officially born in 1988 by founders Joel Simmons and Jerry Brunetti in Martins Creek, Pennsylvania. Jerry had been working in the sustainable agricultural industry for many years, bringing to the team a strong understanding of biological soil management and product development. Joel was a former Penn State County Extension Agent and had a sales and marketing background. The original business plan had been to be a organic lawn care company but that quickly changed to manufacturing and marketing. In a short period of time a demand for EarthWorks products in the golf course industry gave direction and vision to the company.
