South Bend Alumni Association
The South Bend Alumni Association was founded in 1985 and was known originally as the South Bend School Boosters. Its original mission was to save School Field from demolition. It became the South Bend Alumni Association in 1990, with a much broader mission, to help with the education of children in the community and to promote South Bend as a good place to live and learn. The SBAA sponsors the annual Community Hall of Fame to acknowledge the accomplishments of area citizens. It also has a scholarship program, funded primarily by an annual golf tournament. The SBAA has a monthly Lunch Club, an opportunity for classmates and friends to reconnect and socialize. Other services include assistance with class reunions and a variety of bookstore items, including old yearbooks.
