The Malaysian Public Service Commission was established on 31 August 1957, which coincided with Malaya&s;s Independence Day at that time. At the beginning, during the British colonial period, the Civil Service of the States of the Federated Malay States was then under British administration. The independence of Malaya on 31 August 1957 has itself formed a new independent and sovereign government of the Federation of Malaya. Officially, the Public Service Commission has been formed as stated in Article 144(1) of the Federal Constitution
